Trying to decide which skin lightening product to use can be a difficult under taking so we did one of our in-depth reviews, examining the ingredients, clinical research, side effects, and customer quality reviews. We also went through hundreds of user comments from various websites. We took all of the information and condensed to give you the highlights and lowlights of this product.
How the Product Works
Porcelana is a night cream that works to even your skin tone while you sleep. It’s made with Hydroquinone, a clinically proven and dermatologist recommended skin lightening ingredient. This product is a treatment for fading discolorations, dark spots and blemishes. It also lightens hyper-pigmentation caused by sun exposure, acne, pregnancy or oral contraceptives.
Avocado extracts nourish your skin by increasing moisture levels, plus essential vitamins firm and revitalize skin, making it more youthful-looking. Other ingredients include: propylene glycol, to hydrate the skin; retinyl palmitate, a retinol ester to improve the skin’s shedding process; and PEG 100 stearate, a moisturizing ingredient. Together, these ingredients lighten the skin and keep it hydrated.

- Long Term Results
This cream is loaded with potentially harmful ingredients that can do more harm than good.
Side Effects – Possible Irritants
Porcelana Dark Spot Corrector contains two toxic ingredients. The first one is PEG 100 Stearate, which is classified as a moderate to high hazard ingredient depending on usage. The EWG issues warnings regarding: contamination concerns, cancer, irritation, developmental and reproductive toxicity and organ system toxicity. The second ingredients is Hydroquinone, a lightening agent that can cause minor side effects such as dryness or cracking of the skin; minor redness or mild burning. Some people have suffered more serious effects such as rash; hives; difficulty breathing and tightness in the chest.
Texture – Leaves No Residue
This product is fairly thick and doesn’t seem to go on easily. The other turn-off is the toxic smell. It kind of reminds you of Elmer’s white glue and the texture is very much like it too.
There was little, to no results seen after using Porcelana Dark Spot Corrector Night Cream for a few weeks. After using it religiously for 90 days, the only thing that occurred was severe drying and peeling of the skin. It felt raw to the touch as well. A friend used the same cream and also saw no results. We both have two different skin types, so it’s not a matter of complexions. This cream does not work and is a waste of money.
The Bottom Line
This cream is loaded with potentially harmful ingredients that can do more harm than good. While this cream does contain ingredients proven to change skin pigmentation, it really didn’t work as well as other skin lightening products. This product contains PEG 100 stearate, which can cause a long list of conditions even cancer. In conclusion, Porcelana Dark Spot Corrector is not a good product to use every day on the skin.
